What is the Autism Scholarship worth in Ohio for 2026-27?

$34,000 is the ceiling for fiscal 2027 (July 2026 through June 2027) when a child is enrolled all year. Charges beyond it, and services that are not in the child's plan, are the family's responsibility.

Where do Cleveland families use the Autism Scholarship?

At participating providers. Many families start with the region's dedicated autism and learning-difference programs, such as the Cleveland Clinic Lerner School for Autism, which are listed in our special-education hub, and ask each one whether it bills the Autism Scholarship, Jon Peterson or both.

Should we pick the Autism Scholarship or Jon Peterson for a child with autism?

Both top out at $34,000 for 2026-27, so the decision usually rests on the provider you want and the plan your child has. Each program has its own application through the provider, and a child can be on only one at a time.
