Elyria Catholic

Can a voucher be used at Elyria Catholic?

Yes, if the school is taking scholarship students this year. Ohio's state school directory (OEDS) lists Elyria Catholic (IRN 052969) as a chartered nonpublic school, the kind that can enroll EdChoice, EdChoice Expansion and Cleveland Scholarship students. Most families near Elyria use EdChoice Expansion, which pays up to $8,408 for grades 9-12 for 2026-27 and tapers above 450% of poverty; a child who lives in the Cleveland district would bring a Cleveland Scholarship instead.

As a Catholic school in the Diocese of Cleveland, families can ask here about Diocesan Tuition Assistance, the school's Angel Scholarship application and parish aid, and high school families about the diocese's named special scholarships.

What should we ask Elyria Catholic before we enroll?

1. Will you file a Cleveland Scholarship or an EdChoice application for my child for 2026-27, and are seats open in that grade?
2. Once the voucher is applied, what do we still owe, and what do registration, books, devices and uniforms add?
3. Do you discount for siblings or members, award need-based aid, or receive money from a tax-credit SGO?
4. Which documents do you need from us to file the application, and when?
5. Which colleges do your students use for College Credit Plus, and when is the counseling session?
6. If we use the Cleveland Scholarship in high school, how do you handle the balance above the award?
